The North African Journal of Food and Nutrition Research (NAJFNR) (ISSN: 2588-1582) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access online journal dedicated to the rapid dissemination of high-quality research in human nutrition and food sciences. The journal welcomes innovative papers—ranging from original research to reviews and case reports—covering human, animal, cellular, and molecular studies. Its scope is anchored in four primary pillars: Nutritional Science (NS), Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), Public Health Nutrition (PHN), and Food Science and Biotechnology (FSB).

Beyond basic science, NAJFNR seeks to enhance public understanding of how nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle promote health across the lifespan, while highlighting the unique nutritional heritage of the Mediterranean and North Africa. To ensure high standards, submitted manuscripts face direct rejection during initial editorial assessment if they fail to meet formatting guidelines, standard English conventions, or the journal’s core scope.
